Heri Bitamala

Heri Bitamala

Founder and Executive Director

Heri Bitamala founded the Centre de Recherche sur l’Anti-Corruption (CERC) and leads its work on social accountability and anti-corruption. Heri Bitamala has more than ten years of experience designing and running integrity-building programmes in South Kivu and Kinshasa, and has researched corruption and governance issues in the DRC.

Matyabo Sifa Muriel

Matyabo Sifa Muriel

Education Officer

A lawyer by training, she holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa. Since joining CERC in August 2021, she has supported young people in monitoring education services and using data to improve their learning environment.

Dalili Bitamala

Dalili Bitamala

Education Officer

He holds a professional degree in social sciences and community development and has a background in technology. He joined CERC in April 2016 as a Programme Assistant, helping to develop innovative social-accountability approaches in the education and health sectors.

Toyi Mirefu Théodore

Toyi Mirefu Théodore

Education Officer

He holds a degree (BAC+5) in economics, specialising in financial management, from the Official University of Bukavu. He has extensive experience in peacebuilding and media consulting with outlets across South Kivu, and is a human rights defender committed to active non-violence and community mobilisation.

Ndola Dunia Reagan

Ndola Dunia Reagan

Education Officer

He holds a degree (BAC+5) in private and judicial law from the Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs in Goma. He joined CERC in April 2022 to implement the integrity-improvement approach in secondary schools in South Kivu, with a particular interest in fiscal justice and the accountability of decentralised entities.

Programme Assistant

She holds a degree in social sciences, peace and conflict transformation from the Evangelical University in Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she spent a year as a Programme Assistant with non-profit organisations in South Kivu. She believes integrity education can help shape a new generation of ethical leaders.

Advocacy and Policy Engagement Officer

He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa. Before joining CERC in April 2022, he gained extensive experience in programme management and communication with national organisations in Kinshasa and eastern DRC.

She holds a master’s degree in social communication from the Catholic University of Congo. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she worked for three years as a consultant on education programmes, focusing on approaches that improve the quality of education services.

Advocacy and Communication Assistant

She holds a postgraduate degree in social organisation from the Institut Supérieur de Développement Rural. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she volunteered for two years with humanitarian organisations in South Kivu.

Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant · Kinshasa

She holds a degree in public economics from the National Pedagogical University and brings experience in research and in monitoring and evaluation. At CERC she contributes to the fight against corruption in public finances.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from the Evangelical University in Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in 2022, he spent two years at Leaders Academy working on the social reintegration of young people and street children. He supports the monitoring of education services in secondary schools.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the Université Lumière de Bujumbura. She joined CERC in November 2022 and is committed to building inclusive, accountable institutions and to strengthening women’s role in combating fraud and corruption in South Kivu.

Logistics Assistant

She holds a degree in monetary economics from the Evangelical University in Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she spent two years as an intern with microfinance institutions and non-profit organisations in South Kivu. Her experience covers administration, logistics, procurement, and preparing proposals and business plans.
